Who We Are
Established In 2010
It all started with a dream, a truck, and some hand tools. After working for some of the finest Northwest landscape contractors, owner Nick Noren founded Mill Creek Landscapes in 2010. He had one goal in mind: to provide the highest quality products and services at an honest price.
Our first couple years in business we offered a range of landscape services to keep the doors open, especially as our country was emerging from a recession. Over the years we have transformed into one of the Northwest's premier design/build firms with a special focus on natural stone.
We believe there is something truly special about stone. To take a raw piece of stone that came from the Earth and use the hand of man to shape it into something beautiful and functional is something we take great pride in. Over the years we have worked with a variety of stone materials and have built relationships with vendors all over North America to provide our clients with many custom options to make your project special and unique.
To this day, we maintain a very hands-on approach to ensure the highest quality of service. Innovative ideas, the best materials and excellent craftsmanship is why our company has continued to enjoy healthy growth year after year. It is a true labor of love and it shows in the spaces we design & install. We take pride in being a professional company, a company you can be proud to have at your home.
We are intentionally a small firm. Before Nick began Mill Creek Landscapes, he was fortunate to have the experience of working for both large and small firms. One of the biggest differences he noticed was the smaller firms were able to put out a higher quality product because the owner was able to be much more involved. That is how we continue to operate today, always driven by quality.
Nick spends his days drafting designs, working onsite with our team of craftsmen or hand-picking materials for projects. All hardscape materials and plantings are hand selected by him. It’s the details that matter and make a project great. Every craftsman introduced to your project is also hand selected by Nick and most of our employees and subcontractors have been part of the team for years. Being a smaller firm also gives us the ability to be selective and take on projects that are the right fit for our business and our clients. Some of those projects are large in scale and take several months to complete while others take only a week. It’s not about the size of the project, rather does the project match our passion. This strategy has allowed us to produce the best possible outdoor living spaces for our clients to enjoy for many years to come.
We do not take our responsibility of the Earth's stewardship lightly.We know our craft has immediate impact and we have responsibility with the outdoor living spaces we create and maintain. However, the true test is for future generations to come.When creating a project, we use only the finest and sustainable products, work methods and services available.Creating an environmentally friendly space for immediate and future enjoyment is a top priority. Our goal is to truly leave this Earth better than how we found it, one job at a time.
